Living in the next household is "Cris" Miller, age 31, born in Mecklenburg. He may have been another of her sons. She appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ She was living with her son Carl and his family. Maria died on 15 April 1874 at the age of 69.⁵ She was buried on 17 April 1874.³
