28. Betty Jeanne NAUMAN was born on 20 June 1937.1 She graduated in 1955 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.85 from Tomah High School.

Betty Jeanne NAUMAN and Kenneth POTTINGER were married on 24 June 1967.1,86 They had two children. Kenneth POTTINGER, son of Clarence POTTINGER and Esther KOWITZ, was born on 2 September 1924 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.1,87 He died on 7 February 2014 at the age of 89 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.87

Obituary Notes: "Kenneth M. Pottinger, 89, of Sparta died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. He was born Sept. 2, 1924, in the Township of Wells, Lyon Valley, Monroe County, Wis., to Clarence and Esther (Kowitz) Pottinger.

Kenneth worked on the farm next to the family home while growing up. He then worked construction and finally worked at Northern Engraving in Sparta, for 27 years until he retired. Kenneth married Betty Nauman June 24, 1967, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Ridgeville. They lived in Leon for 25 years and then moved to Sparta.

In his younger years, Kenneth loved hunting, fishing and bird watching. He also enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Sparta Senior Citizens and a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sparta.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Betty of Sparta; his daughters, Sandra Dopp of Summerfield, Fla., and Bonnie (Scott) Peters of Sparta; his grandchildren, James Dopp of Sparta, Jessica (Spencer) Lieburn of Neillsville, Wis., Paige Peters of West Salem, and Katelyn Peters of Sparta; his great-grandchildren, Mason Lieburn, Carter Dopp, Jacob Dopp, and Brennen Dopp; and a special niece, Janene Pottinger of Norwalk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther; and his brothers, Roland and Spencer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Sparta, with the Rev. Mark Wessel officiating. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery, Leon."
