Wilhelmine Bertha "Minnie" SCHAEFER and Isidore George "Ike" GEIER were married on 28 September 1955 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.27,68 Isidore George "Ike" GEIER, son of Basilus Isadore GEIER and Frances A. RONDORF, was born on 6 July 1921 in Jefferson Township, Monroe County, WI.27,32 He died on 3 December 2004 at the age of 83 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.27

He was born July 6, 1921, in the Township of Jefferson, Monroe County, the first-born of 13 children to Basilius and Frances (Rondorf) Geier.

He married the former Bertha Schaefer on Sept. 28, 1955, in Sparta. He worked as a farmhand in the Coles Valley, Norwalk and Cashton areas. He then worked as a milk hauler for the former Hiawatha Valley Dairy. He later purchased a farm in Coles Valley.
He served several terms on the Angelo Town Board. For the past three years he was a resident of Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; eight children, Debra (Perfecto) DeLaLuz, Richard (Debra) Geier, Kathy Geier, May (James) Schwarz, Carol (Eugene) Treu, Linus (Lori) Geier, David (Susan) Geier and Barbara (Ed) Downing; grand-children and great-grand-children, Christina (Lupe) Soto and children, Isaiah, Anastazia, Maria and Jose; Jeremy VonRuden; Manuel "Buzz" (Heather Williams) Perez and daughter, Genessa; David Perez; Naomi (Tom) Hoff and daughter, Chloe; Brittany Geier; Dana Geier; Renee (Luis) Angel and son, Luis; Amanda (Nick Phillips) Schwarz; Erica Schwarz; James Schwarz Jr. and family; Aaron Schwarz and family; Bradley (April) Treu; Melissa (Aaron) Brooks and son Ethan; Lindsey Treu and son Carson; Matthew Geier; Renae (Jamie) Findlay; Heather (Chris) Stelter and children, Morgan and Cammi Stelter; Brandon, Austin and Drew Geier; Patrick Geier; Travis, Kashe and Megan Downing; brothers and sisters, Marlene (Larry) Peth, Helen (Evan) Summerfield, Berdella (Gerald) Butzler, Conalee (Carl) Lewis, Arnold (Mary) Geier and Larry (Myrtle) Geier; three sisters-in-law, Karen Geier, Bonnie Geier and Karen Geier; a brother-in-law, Leonard Von-Ruden; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Basilius and Frances; three brothers, Wilbert, George and Omer; and three sisters, Adeline (Raymond) Donskey, Irma (LaVern) Von-Ruden and Annabelle VonRuden.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday (today) at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sparta, with Father James Leary OFM Cap. officiating. burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Sparta.

The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, assisted the family with arrangements.

Florence Ann HYATT was born on 24 June 1940 in Jefferson Township, Monroe County, WI.71 She died on 9 April 2015 at the age of 74 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.71

Obituary Notes: "Florence Ann Hyatt, 74, of Onalaska died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born June 24, 1940, in the town of Jefferson, Monroe County, to Glyn and Minnie Bertha (Schaefer) Hyatt.

She attended Melvina Grade School, Cashton High School for three years, and graduated from Norwalk High School. Florence received her Master’s Degree in education from UW-La Crosse and her first job was teaching at Johnny Cake Grade School, a one room school. She was hired by the Onalaska School District and taught at Irving Pertzsch Elementary School, where she taught fourth grade for seven years.

In the early 1970s, she moved to the brand new Northern Hills Elementary School to take charge of the library and media center. She moved to the brand new Onalaska Middle School in 1976, where she ran the media center until her retirement in 2001. Florence moved on to the Onalaska School Board where she spent 50 years with the District. Florence was involved with WEA, CRUE, NEA and WSBA. She was an NEA board member and president of CRUE.

She is survived by two brothers, Charles of Onalaska, and Alfred (Kathleene) of Tomah; a niece, Rebecca Smith of Chicago; a nephew, Peter (Beth) Hyatt of Rewey, Wis.; three great-nephews, Gryphon, Jonah and Lincoln; an aunt, Beretha Girer; an uncle, Joseph Kast; many other cousins; and a special friend, David Ball.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Onalaska. Pastor William Bader and Pastor Josh Bodden will officiate. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery, rural Sparta."
