86. Evelyn W. GRAEWIN was born on 27 June 1917 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.^16,29 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ She died on 30 July 2007 at the age of 90 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁹

Obituary Notes: "Evelyn W. Liefke, age 91, of Sparta and formerly of Norwalk, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born in the Township of Wellington, Monroe County, June 27, 1916, to Albert and Bertha (Baerwald) Grawin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, South Ridge. On Aug. 16, 1936, she was united in marriage to Martin C. Liefke at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. They farmed in rural Wilton until 1972 when they retired and moved to Norwalk. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2000. Evelyn became a resident at the Morrow Memorial Home in 2005.

She is survived by her children: Carol (Carol Jean) of Milton and Roger (Jean) of Beloit, Janet (Dennis) Nichols of Sparta, Lynette (Robert) Teal-Franks of Onalaska, and Debra (Dennis) Kelly of Norwalk, grandchildren: Alaina (J.C.) Stanelle, Maria (Dave) Austin, Lon (Becky) Liefke, Amy (Randall) Rauk, Cindy (Mike) Anderson, Holly Fisher, Lori (Gary) Garofalo, Scott (Lynne) Teal, Julie Thomas, Jamie (Jon) Fossen, Heidi, John, Valerie, Erica and Kyle Kelly; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harvey (Aleta) Grawin, and a sister-in-law, Lila Grawin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; a sister, Mildred Schultz, and a brother, Merlin Grawin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, South Ridge. Pastor Fred Fedke will officiate. Burial will be in South Ridge Lutheran Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to call today (Thursday) from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, 702 Center St., Wilton, and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.

A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home."

Evelyn was buried on 3 August 2007 in South Ridge, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁹ in the South Ridge Cemetery.

Evelyn W. GRAEWIN and Martin C. LIEFKE were married on 16 August 1936 in South Ridge, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^29,95 Martin C. LIEFKE, son of Awalt Arthur LIEFKE and Martha Elisa ROSCOVIUS, was born about 1912 in Wisconsin.³ He appeared in the census in 1920 in Sheldon Township, Monroe County, WI.³ He died on 13 January 2000 at the age of 88.³⁹

Evelyn W. GRAEWIN and Martin C. LIEFKE had the following children:
