22. Carl A. NEMITZ Jr. was born on 17 March 1905 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.² He died on 2 August 1991 at the age of 86 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.²¹

Carl A. NEMITZ Jr. and Ann M. SMREKAR were married on 4 March 1949.²¹ Ann M. SMREKAR was born on 18 September 1911 in Oglesby, La Salle County, IL.²¹ She died on 15 November 2006 at the age of 95 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹

Obituary Notes: "Ann M. Nemitz, age 95, of Warrens, WI, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Agape Acres in Warrens, WI. She was born on Sept. 18, 1911, to John and Anna Smrekar in Oglesby, IL. She was united in marriage to Carl Nemitz.

Ann was a very active woman. She participated in Women’s Club, 4-H, and she served as treasurer for St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Warrens for many years. Ann and Carl were pioneers in the cranberry business, building three marshes in the Warrens area.

She is survived by her daughter, Deb (Ron) Kimball of Hixton; three grandchildren, Heather Aschenbrenner of Waukesha, Aaron Aschenbrenner of Spring Brook and Ginger (Justin) Millis of Black River Falls; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Justina Paskaleff of Warrens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna; her husband, Carl; her sister, Mary Mausolf; and her brother, John Smrekar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Warrens. Father Eugene Trainer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Millston. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church."
