Jane E. NEMITZ and Gilbert Louis "Gib" SEFLOW were married on 18 March 1950.28,57 Gilbert Louis "Gib" SEFLOW, son of Louis William "Louie" SEFLOW and Helen M. KOLB, was born on 22 December 1923 in Kirby, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.29,32 He died on 19 July 2014 at the age of 90 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.57

Obituary Notes: "Gilbert “Gib” Seflow, 90, of Warrens passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at home. He was born Dec. 22, 1923, on the family farm in Kirby, Wis., to Louis and Helen (Kolb) Seflow. Gib was a 1941 graduate of Tomah High School. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Gib was united in marriage to Jane Nemitz March 18, 1950. After serving in the Army, he continued dairy farming and later raised beef. Gib worked for the Monroe County Highway Department for 24 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gambling at the casino with Jane, playing cards, Blatz beer, watching the Milwaukee Braves and Brewers and taking rides with the family. Gib loved his dog Trixie. He enjoyed going to family reunions. Family was the most important part of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; his children, Debra (Harry) DeLong and Shelly (Keith) Betthauser; grandchildren, Ona (Kevin) Pollack, Mandy (Mark) Pergande, Brad (April) Betthauser and Lindsey Betthauser; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kendyll and Kadin Pollack; a great-great-grandchild, Carter Pollack; sisters, Leonora “Non” Schleicher and Elaine Miller; sister-in-law, Marguerite “Mike” Seflow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helen; his daughter, Vicky Seflow; his son, Ricky Seflow; a grandchild, Adriane Betthauser; a sister, Ruth Handy; and a brother, Leonard Seflow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at St. Mathew Lutheran Church in Kirby. Burial with full military honors by the Tomah American Legion Post #201 will follow in the Warren Mills Cemetery, Warrens."
