74. Bernard "Junior" NEMITZ was born on 1 March 1935 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.²⁷ He died on 7 September 2006 at the age of 71 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^21,27

Obituary Notes: "Bernard “Junior” Nemitz, 71, of Warrens and Tomah, died Sept. 7, 2006 at Close to Home in Tomah.

He was born March 1, 1935, in the Town of Knapp, Warrens, to Benjamin and Bertha (Goetzka) Nemitz. He was united in marriage to Alice E. Walworth on October 15, 1955. He was a life-long member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Knapp Township.

Junior and Alice began their married life on the Nemitz family farm but shortly after, Junior was hired to run Fred Barber's East Bog Marsh in the Township of Bear Bluff. Junior and Alice purchased the marsh in 1973, along with sons Robert and Gene. Junior enjoyed life as a cranberry grower and was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, snowmobiler and card player. He supported Ducks Unlimited, the Turkey Federation, and was a lifetime member of the Millston Knapp Sportsmen Club. He was a devoted husband and father, and a wonderful Grandpa to his beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, as well as his extended family, Steve and Bertie Dietzman and the staff at Close to Home.

Junior is survived by a son Robert (Vicki) of Warrens; two grandchildren, Amy and Adam Nemitz; two sisters, Florence Kent, San Diego, CA, Jane (Gib) Seflow, Warrens; five brothers, Virgil (Delores) Nemitz, Warrens; Gerald (Bev) Nemitz, Hayward; Harold (Dorothy) Nemitz, Warrens; Kenneth (Janette) Nemitz, Melrose; and Gary (Carol) Nemitz, Warrens; three sister-in-laws, Marilou Nemitz of Bloomington; Audrey Gnoit of Milwaukee; Connie Pressinitz of Mauston, and three brothers-in-law, Dale (Mary) Walworth, Philip Walworth, both of Warrens, and Ned (Georgeann) Walworth of Beloit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice on November 1, 1995, and son Gene on November 20, 1987, a brother Ronald Nemitz, a sister Agnes Harelson, and three brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave. Tomah on Monday, Sept. 10, 2006, 11 a.m. Pastor Phillip Enderle officiated. Burial was in the Warren-Mills Cemetery at Warrens.

Relatives and friends called at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home 801 East Monowau St., on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service."

Alice Evelyn WALWORTH, daughter of Charles Nelson WALWORTH and Norma Jean ALVARD, was born on 27 January 1934 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.²⁷ She died on 1 November 1995 at the age of 61 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ She was buried on 5 November 1995 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹ in the Warren-Mills Cemetery.
