Davis, age 69, of Darlington, WI, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. She was born on May 9, 1938, in Tomah, WI, to Frank W. and Alice H. (Krueger) Prell. Darlene graduated from Tomah High School in 1956 and received her certificate as an Accredited Records Technician at Breckenridge, MN. She was united in marriage to Michael E. Davis on Sept. 5, 1959, in Tomah. Darlene moved to Darlington in 1957 where she worked as a Medical Records Technician for Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. After 41 years of service at the hospital, she retired in 1998. Darlene is survived by her son: John Davis of Darlington; her brother: Howard (Ann) Prell of Iron River, WI; one sister-in-law: Marian (Roger) Monson of Darlington; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Mike on June 22, 1998. Darlene was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington, and its Council of Catholic Women. She loved camping with her family, crocheting afghans, and embroidery. Darlene was a true animal lover, and treasured her cats Jamaica and Boots. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington with Rev. Randy Budnar co-officiating.
