1. Gottlieb NIENAST was born on 29 February 1840 in Preussen (Prussia).^1,2 He died on 18 December 1921 at the age of 81 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,2 He was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Gottlieb NIENAST and Ottilia "Ottilie" YESKE were married.^3,4 Ottilia "Ottilie" YESKE^2,4 was born on 20 March 1854 in Preussen (Prussia).^2,5 She emigrated in 1868 from Preussen (Prussia).¹ She died on 5 May 1937 at the age of 83 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,2 Ottilie was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. (Her surname is spelled "Geschke" in the parish register for her son's baptism.)
