54. Evelyn Ernestine NOTH was born on 14 July 1913 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.1,25,36,52,97,186 (She was listed as "Eveline Ernstine" in the church baptismal records.) She was baptized on 10 August 1913 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.186 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.24 Evelyn appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.34 She graduated in 1931 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.187 from Tomah High School. Between 1931 and 1937 she was a part-time librarian in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.188 at the Tomah Public Library. She worked three days a week for $20 a month. Evelyn appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.43 She was living with her mother and her occupation was "Bookkeeper, Retail Ladies Ready to Wear Shop." Her total wages in 1939 were $360. She lived the Close to Home assisted living center in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI in February 2003. She died on 25 November 2007 at the age of 94 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.25 Obituary Notes: "Evelyn E. Krukar, 94, of Tomah, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at A Touch of Home. She was born July 14, 1913, to August and Amelia (Kewit) Noth in the Town of Wilton. She graduated from the Tomah High School in 1931. Evelyn was united in marriage to Andrew Krukar, Aug. 25, 1956, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1984.

Evelyn worked at the Tomah Public Libriary, and as a secretary for Lester Gordon. She then worked at Fort McCoy as a secretary, where she met her husband, Andy. She accompanied her husband on his tour of duty in Germany and at the Presidio of San Francisco, where he retired from military service in 1965. After his retirement, they made their home in Colorado Springs. She was a member of the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs and a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at the Lutheran Braille, a member of the Retired Officers Association Auxillary, a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club, a member of the TROA Singles, and a former member of the Fine Arts Center, various other groups and organizations.

She is survived by nine nieces, Phyllis Zillmer of Tomah, Lucy (Robert) Sherwood of Tomah, Carol (Doug) Nevin of Wilton, Pauline Hockett of Fort Royal, VA, Letha Noth of Bangor, Beverly Barnett, Ruth Sour, Joan Borcher and Sherri (Robert) Lange of Littleton, CO; six nephews, Keith (Sandy) Stender of Fennimore, Charles (Connie) Stender of South Beloit, David (Sandy) Noth of Wilton, Ken Krukar, David (Fran) Krukar and Richard Krukar; a brother-in-law, Steve Krukar; many great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers and sisters, Neta Radant, Raymond Noth, Corliss Noth, Adaila Olson and Mildred Stender; her brothers-in-law, John and Adam Krukar; her sister-in-law, Ann Gmitro, and her nephews, Orlo Noth, King Hockett and Wayne Zillmer.

Funeral services were today (Thursday), Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave. Pastor Curt S. Backhaus officiated. Relatives and friends called at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah.

The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements."

Evelyn was buried on 29 November 2007 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.25 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Andrew "Andy" KRUKAR, son of (Unknown) KRUKAR and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (KRUKAR), was born on 29 November 1914 in Hooversville, Somerset County, PA.25,81 He died on 7 November 1984 at the age of 69 in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, CO.25,81 He was buried on 12 November 1984 in Denver, Denver County, CO.25,81 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
