He appeared in the census in 1850 in Scott Township, Luzerne County, PA.⁶⁹ He appeared in the census in 1860 in Scott Township, Luzerne County, PA.¹²⁶ Sanford appeared in the census in 1870 in Scott Township, Luzerne County, PA.¹²⁷ He died on 22 May 1873 at the age of 60.^5,32

Sanford WHITE and Elmina MILLER were married before 1835.³² They had 12 children. Elmina MILLER was born about 1815 in Pennsylvania.⁶⁹ She appeared in the census in 1850 in Scott Township, Luzerne County, PA.⁶⁹ She appeared in the census in 1860 in Scott Township, Luzerne County, PA.¹²⁶ (Her name was listed as "Almira.")
