She appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁰ Marie was confirmed on 26 March 1893 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹⁴ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ She was living with her parents and her occupation was "Sales Lady, Dry Goods." She appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³² Marie appeared in the census in 1920 in Madison, Dane County, WI.⁹⁵ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Madison, Dane County, WI.⁹⁶ She died on 10 February 1971 at the age of 92 in Madison, Dane County, WI.²⁶ Obituary Notes: "Mrs. Marie Koepcke, 92, died Wednesday (Feb. 10, 1971) in a nursing home in Madison. A Madison resident since 1917, she was born in Norwalk. In 1898 she was married to Albert C. Koepcke. He died in 1947. The former Marie Gnewikow formerly was active in the Madison Woman's Club.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth A. Koepcke, 3918 Manitou Way, Madison; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday in St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, Norwalk. There will be no visitation." Marie was buried on 12 February 1971 in Norwalk, Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^26,97 in the Pilgrims Home Cemetery.

Albert Christian "Bert" KOEPCKE, son of Johann Heinrich Christian Friederich KOEPCKE and Margaretha Elisabeth MOHR, was born on 2 July 1874 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^{1,26,28,50,100} He was baptized on 19 July 1874 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁸ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁰ Bert was confirmed on 14 April 1889 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁰⁰ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ He was living with his mother and his occupation was "Farm Laborer." Between 1901 and 1916 he was a storekeeper in Norwalk, Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,26,101 He also was a member of the Norwalk Volunteer Fire Department. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Madison, Dane County, WI.⁹⁵ His household was 317 Orchard Street and his occupation was "Traveling Salesman, Groceries and Meats." After 1920 he was a store owner in Madison, Dane County, WI.²⁶ Bert appeared in the census in 1930 in Madison, Dane County, WI.⁹⁶ His household was at 1929 Regent (?) Street and his occupation was "Manager, Grocery Business." He died on 5 November 1946 at the age of 72 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,26 He was buried on 9 November 1946 in Norwalk, Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^26,49,97 at the Norwalk Pilgrim's Home Cemetery.
