Vera appeared in the census in 1940 in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, PA.⁴⁶³ Her occupation was "High School Teacher, High School." She died on 1 March 1941 at the age of 35 in Aliquippa, Beaver County, PA.^227,447 She was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁴⁷
