Descendants of Frank Berendes, Sr.

Frank Berendes, Sr., and his wife, Frances Ann Steinhof, were born in the mid-1800's in the Westphalia Province of Prussia. They emigrated to America individually, married in Wells Township in about 1864, and had eight children.

Frank and Frances are the earliest-known ancestors of all of the Berendes family members who lived in Monroe County.
