Descendants of Johann Boetselaers (Butzler)

Johann Boetselaers and his wife Elizabeth Verheyden are the earliest-known ancestors of the various Butzler families that lived in Monroe County. It is believed that he was born in The Netherlands and she in Prussia.

Their son, Mathias, and his wife, Margaretha, were born in Prussia in the early-1800's and they and their eight children are the earliest known ancestors of the Butzler families in Monroe County.
