Wilhelmine Fredericke Albertine "Minnie" BRANDENBURG was born on 3 February 1858 in Alt Damerow, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,3,9,11,25,27,33 (The 1900 Census listed her birth date as February 1859 and the Oak Grove Cemetery records list it as 1859. Church records list it as 1858.) She was baptized on 28 February 1858 in Alt Damerow, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,34 She emigrated on 14 June 1870 from Alt Damerow, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).8,11,31 (She and her parents emigrated on the ship "Helene" from the port of Bremerhaven, and arrived in New York City. The 1920 Census listed her year of emigration as 1872.) Minnie was confirmed on 6 April 1873 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4,27 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.11 (She was listed as "Mary.") She appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.7 Minnie appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.31 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.35 Her household was in the 2nd Ward. She died on 31 July 1934 at the age of 76 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.3,36 Minnie was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.33 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Wilhelmine Fredericke Albertine "Minnie" BRANDENBURG and Hermann C. BONGERS were married on 11 May 1884.3,11,37 Hermann C. BONGERS, son of Albert BONGERS and Amelia KRUEGER, was born on 18 September 1860 in Grossgruenow, Preussen (Prussia).4,27,31,33 He emigrated in 1866 from Germany.11,31 He was confirmed on 29 March 1874 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.27 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Hermann appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.4 He was living with his parents and his occupation was listed as "Works in flour mill." On 1 May 1886 he was a liquor store owner in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.38 He applied for a retail liquor license. About 1895 he was a shoe store part-owner with Peter Johnson in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.39 Mr. Johnson had started the business in about 1890, went into partnership with Mr. Bongers for a few years, and later bought back Mr. Bongers' share and operated it on his own until Mr. Johnson died in 1919. Hermann appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.11 His household was on Saratoga Street in the 2nd Ward and his occupation was "Merchant, Show." Hermann died in 1921 at the age of 61.33 He was buried in 1921 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.33 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
