Descendants of August Buchholz, Sr.
August Buchholz, Sr., and his wife, Ernestine Zellmer were born in the mid-1800's in Prussia, and are the ancestors of many of the Buchholz family members that now live in Monroe County.
August may have been related to (and possibly a brother of) Christian Buchholz, who was born in 1819 in Prussia. Christian and his wife Johanna are the ancestors of another large group of Buchholz members that settled in Monroe County.
