He emigrated in 1867 from Germany.⁵ He appeared in the census in June 1880 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ Gottlieb appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He died in 1926 at the age of 73.¹⁸ He was buried in 1926 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁸ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Gottlieb E. BUCHHOLZ and Adeline C. NOFFKE were married on 15 April 1880 in Monroe County, WI.^3,11 Adeline C.
