The 1880 Census listed the birthplace of his birth father as Germany, but the 1900 listed it as Wisconsin.)

Fred August Martin BOWERS and Anna Louise "Annie" BUSACK were married on 11 March 1888 in Escanaba, Delta County, MI.1,17,25,27,28,30 (They were first cousins, twice removed.) (According to the 1900 Census, they had 6 children, of whom 5 were living at the time; according to the 1910 they had 13, of whom 11 were living.) Anna Louise "Annie" BUSACK, daughter of John BUSACK and Christina UNKNOWN (BUSACK), was born on 13 October 1869 in Germantown Township, Juneau County, WI.3,25,27 She appeared in the census in 1870 in Germantown Township, Juneau County, WI.5 (The 1870 Census lists her birth month as October.) She appeared in the census in 1875 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.7 Annie appeared in the census in 1880 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.3 She was living with her father and step-mother. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.28 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.17 Annie appeared in the census in 1920 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.29 She died on 10 March 1925 at the age of 55 in Monroe County, WI.25,27

Obituary Notes: "Anna Louise Busack was born in Germantown, Wis., Oct. 13, 1869, and died March 10, 1925, at the age of 55 years, four months, and twenty-seven days, at her home nine miles east of Tomah, Wis.

She was united in marriage at the age of nineteen to Fred A. Bowers, on March 11, 1888, at Escanaba, Mich., where they resided for ten years, after which they moved to their present home. To this union were born sixteen children, two having died in infancy, and one at the age of twenty-one.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and thirteen children, viz: Anna, Charles, Evelyn, Lila, June and Mildred, all of whom reside at home; George of Oxford, Wis.; Mrs. Carl Anderson of Ritzville, Wash.; Mrs. Dan Willis and Vernon of Milwaukee, Wis.; also one sister, Mrs. George A. Kuckuck, and two brothers, Fred and Henry Gabower.

Funeral services were conducted from the home on March 14, 1925, at one o'clock p.m. Rev Taylor officiating. Interment was made in Oakdale cemetery." She was buried on 14 March 1925 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.14,25 in the Oakdale Township Cemetery.
