Descendants of Michael Frieske

Michael Frieske and his wife, Anna Christina Zellmer, were born in the late-1700's in the Posen Province of Prussia and were the parents of eight children. Two of their daughters, Wilhelmine and Anna, both married Gottfried Jaskiewicz.

Wilhelmine Caroline married Gottfried Jaskewitz and died at a young age. Later, her sister Anna Justine married Gottfried in Prussia and accompanied him and their children to America in 1855. They settled in Ridgeville Township and were among the earliest settlers in that area.

Gottfried and Anna Justine were the parents of August Johann Jaskiewicz (later changed to Kewit), who married Ernestine Achtenberg in 1874.
