Obituary Notes: "Renee Marie Steinmetz, 63, passed away unexpectedly at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare n All Saints Medical Center on Sunday, April 29, 2007 as the result of a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.

Renee was born in Tomah, WI on October 3, 1943, to the late Robert J. and Bernadine M. (nee: Gilner) Steinmetz. She lived in Kenosha/Racine for most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church n Kenosha and received her education from Salem Central High School.

Renee had been employed by Badger Cork in Trevor until her retirement. An extreme fan of her favorite rock-n-roll legend, she named her devoted canine-companion, “Elvis”, in his honor. Renee’s number one priority in life was her family. She loved being in the surroundings of her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her brothers, Robert (Karen) Steinmetz, Jr. of Portage; John (Carol) Steinmetz of Racine; Michael (Chris) Steinmetz, Kevin (Janet) Steinmetz, Anthony Steinmetz and Mark Steinmetz, all of Kenosha; sisters, Diane Steinmetz of Kokomo, IN and Therese (Ervin) Richtmyre of Kenosha; many special nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention by name, of whom Renee was so proud; sister-in-law, Marge Steinmetz; and brother-in-law, Joe DePaoli.

In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by her brothers, David, William and George Steinmetz; and by sisters, Cheryl DePaoli, Kathy (James) Anderson and Charmayne (Dale) Glasman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007, 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah, WI. The Very Rev. Steven J. Kachel will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements."
