Rodney served in the military between 1953 and 1957.³⁸ He served in the U.S. Navy. He died on 2 October 2017 at the age of 82 in Xenia, Greene County, OH.³⁸ He was buried in Xenia, Greene County, OH.⁵⁷ in the Valley View Memorial Gardens.
