Gerhardt Lee "Gary" GRIMES was born on 29 June 1941 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^{49,50,55,74,75,76} He appeared in the census in 1950 in Van Buren, Montgomery County, OH.⁴⁴ He signed a will on 28 October 1966 in Montgomery County, OH.⁷⁷ Gary served in the military between 9 November 1966 and 7 October 1967 in North Carolina.^75,76 He died on 7 October 1967 at the age of 26 in Rockingham, Richmond County, NC.^{74,75,76,78,79} He was killed in an automobile accident while serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg. He was buried about 10 October 1967 in Xenia, Greene County, OH.^9,80 in the Valley View Memorial Gardens. Gary had his estate probated on 14 November 1967 in Richmond County, NC.⁷⁷
