Descendants of Amos Hanchett
Amos Hanchett and his wife, Hannah Holley, were born in the Connecticut Colony in the mid-1700's and were the great-grandparents of Loren DeWitt Hanchett, whose family eventually migrated to Monroe county.
Loren and his wife, Sarah Mae Benjamin, were born in Ohio in the 1830’s. Their two children, Charles Alvero “Charlie” and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie,” and their descendants married into families such as Alton, Hilliker, Symonds, and Robertson.
