He appeared in the census in 1880 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.3 He was listed as "David" and his household consisted of his wife Ellen, age 27; and their daughters, Eva U., age 4; and Ada J., age 9/12. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.14 His household consisted of Dan; his wife, Ellen; and their daughters, Ada and Della. Dan appeared in the census in 1910 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.15 He and his wife were living by themselves. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.40 He died on 19 October 1937 at the age of 88 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.23,39 Dan was a farmer in Kirby, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.41 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.38,39 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Daniel "Dan" HARP and Ellen Melissa WORDEN were married on 6 July 1873 in Lincoln Township, Mitchell County, IA.14,18,39,42 The 1910 Census indicates that they had 3 children, of which 1 was still living at the time. Ellen Melissa WORDEN, daughter of Henry D. WORDEN and Ursula B. Ada May "Addie" HARP was born on 8 September 1879 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.3,14,39,43,44 The 1880 Census lists her age as 7/12 or 9/12 (not clear), the 1900 as 20 years, the 1910 as 28, the 1920 as 41, and the 1930 as 54. The 1900 Census lists her birth date as either Sep 1877 or Sep 1879 (not clear). Her gravestone listed her as age 21 years 5 months 20 days, calculating to a birth date of 8 Sep 1879. She appeared in the census in 1880 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.3 (She was listed as "Ada M.") She appeared in the census in 1900 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.14 She was living with her parents. Ada died on 23 February 1901 at the age of 21 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.23,39,44,45 (According to John Rector's research of the Worden family, she died 28 Feb 1901. Her gravestone says: "Ada May daughter of D & E Harp died Feb 23 1901 aged 21 y 5 m 20 d.") She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.23,44,45 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
