Descendants of Gottfried Heintze
Gottfried Heintze and his wife, Maria Elisabeth Linder, were believed to have been born in the Province of Posen in Prussia.
Their children and grandchildren are believed to have remained in Prussia, but some of their grandchildren emigrated to America and settled in Monroe County.
Some of the descendants of Gottfried and Maria eventually changed the spelling of their surname to Heinze.
