Charles Sidney HOREL^33,34 was born on 12 August 1881 in Wisconsin.^11,33,35,36 (His 1918 Military Draft Card--which contains his handwriting--lists his birth date as 12 August 1882, but the Social Security Death Index lists it as 12 August 1881. It was also listed as August 1881 in the 1900 Census.)

. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Amity Township, Page County, IA.¹¹ He was living with his mother and his occupation was "At School." He graduated about 1909 in College Springs, Page County, IA.⁹ from Dental School. Before 1910 Charles was a dentist in Ames, Story County, IA.⁹ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Thermopolis, Fremont County, WY.³⁷ He was listed as age 27, "Single" and his occupation was "Dentist."

. He registered for the Military Draft about 1918 in Teton, Lincoln County, WY. ³³ His occupation was listed as "Forest Service, U.S. Dept of Agriculture." He was described as 5'11", grey eyes and black hair. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Teton, Lincoln County, WY.³⁴ His occupation was "Forest Ranger, Teton Forest."

. Charles appeared in the census in 1930 in Worland, Washakie County, WY.³² His residence was on Culbertson Avenue and his occupation was "Merchant, Retail Meat Market." (He was listed as "Married," but his wife was not listed in his household.) He died in April 1972 at the age of 90 in Apache Junction, Pinal County, AZ.³⁶ (He was listed "Charles Sidney" on his draft card in 1918, as "Charles S." in the 1910 and 1920 Census', and as "Sidney" in the 1930.)
