He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³ August died on 23 November 1960 at the age of 77 in Kirby, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,9 He was buried in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ in the Warren Mills Cemetery.
