19. James B. "Eagle" EAGLESON was born on 9 March 1944 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI.35 He died on 23 May 2010 at the age of 66.35

Obituary Notes: "James B. "Eagle" Eagleson, 66, of rural Camp Douglas, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 9, 1944, to Donald and Lorna (Heeler) Eagleson at Mauston. He was a member of the Tomah High School graduating class of 1962. In September of 1979 he was united in marriage to Kim Pratt. In December of 2001 he married Rachel Lenz. James proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

In his earlier years, Eagle worked as a distributor for Caps Vending. For 22 years he worked as a railroad repairman at Fort McCoy, retiring in 2002. After his retirement he worked as a grounds keeper and maintenance worker at Jellystone Campgrounds. He also worked at numerous bars in the Tomah area and was once known as "Tomah’s best bartender". He made many lifelong friends during those years. Occasionally he could be found enjoying a Seven and water with his friends or playing a round of pool with his son, James. Eagle was a collector of many things, he collected coins along with other various items. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and trapping beavers, muskrats and raccoons. He loved watching NASCAR racing and was a loyal Packers fan. He also enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, making birdhouses and working on different projects for his family. His leisure time was spent with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by a son, James C. (Michelle) of Tomah; a granddaughter Kaylee; his brother Larry (Mary) of Warrens; two sisters Rae Ellen (Arlyn) Reekie and Wendy (Richard) Koebernick, both of Tomah; an aunt Alice (Marvin) Bartels of Tomah; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to call (today) Thursday, May 27, 2010, from 4p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. In accordance with Eagle’s wishes "come as you are" causal attire is requested."
