(He may have been an uncle of August Friedrich Kuhn, 1852-1895, who emigrated from Posen to Monroe County in 1887. He emigrated in July 1857 from Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).3,5 He, his wife and their children, Johann, Wilhelm and Ottilie, emigrated from Bremen, Germany on the ship "Hron Gagern" and arrived in New York City on 3 July 1857. It is believed to be the latter.)

(She was listed as age 30 when she emigrated in 1857, and her burial record indicates that she was 57 years old when she died. So she may have been born in 1827. She was listed as age 74 in the 1870 Census--an obvious mistake--and as 55 in 1880, which would indicate a birth year of about 1825.) She emigrated in July 1857 from Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).5 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.11 Minnie died on 17 May 1885 at the age of 57.1,2,14 She was buried on 19 May 1885 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.1,13,14 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
