Jon Harverd WAGNER was born on 11 December 1958 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.463 He died on 20 April 2014 at the age of 55.463 Obituary Notes: "Jon Harverd Wagner of Tomah spent his life doing what he loved, dancing with his wife, watching sporting events with his son, encouraging his daughter in her dance, farming on the home farm and traveling with his family. Jon was born to Harverd and Donna (Clay) Wagner of Tomah at St Mary’s Hospital in Sparta, Dec 11, 1958. Jon attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School, Tomah, graduating from Luther High School in 1977. In 1981, he received a BS in finance and economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His greatest joys in his life were his wife and two children. Suzanne Swanson of La Crescent, Minn., and Jon were married in 1981, in La Crosse. Best friends and soul mates, they would have celebrated their 33rd anniversary in June. They were blessed with the birth of Annaliese and Edric Jan. 5, 1991. Jon was on the board of Foremost Farms in Baraboo, Wis. He was an active member of “Our Town,” Tomah, and the local Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club. Jon enjoyed performing with One Accord, the Area Community Theater of Tomah, and the Parent-Child Dance annually at the Marilyn School of Dance spring performance with his daughter, Annaliese. Jon was blessed with unlimited love, kindness and acceptance. Jon’s faith was an important part of his life. He lived what he believed. Family and friends were an important part of Jon’s life. Jon often bought flowers for those he loved, always buying extra flowers to share with the people he met along the way. On April 20, 2014, Jon joined his Lord unexpectedly on Easter Sunday after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Swanson Wagner; son, Edric; and daughter, Annaliese of Tomah; sister, Linda (Wagner) and Ted Mitiu of Cary, Ill.; niece, Kira and Erik Netzke, great-nephew, Colt of East Dundee, Ill; sister Cindy (Wagner) and Dave Engstrom of Tomah, niece, Michelle Engstrom of Minneapolis, his parents, Harverd and Donna (Clay) Wagner of Tomah; his godparents, Joyce and Allen Bringe of Madison, Wis.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by Suzanne’s parents, Carl N. and Bonny Swanson. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Curt S. Backhaus will officiate." .
