155. Harverd WAGNER was born on 8 March 1933.³⁵⁰ He graduated in 1951 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁵¹ from Tomah High School. He died on 25 January 2020 at the age of 86 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁵⁰

United in marriage Oct. 4, 1953, to Donna Clay at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah, he spent most of his life on the family farm south of Tomah. His favorite times of the year were the Spring planting season and the Fall harvesting of the crops.

Harverd is survived by his wife of 66 years; his daughters, Linda Wagner (Ted Mitiu) of Chicago and Cindy (Dave) Engstrom of Tomah; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Swanson Wagner; grandchildren, Kira (Erik) Netzke of Chicago, Michelle Engstrom (fiancée, Ryan Christianson) of St. Paul, Minn., Annaliese Wagner (fiancée, Konnor Kearny) and Edric Wagner of Madison, Wis.; and two great-grandchildren, Colt and Ayla Netzke; brother-in-law, John (Joanie) Clay; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Bringe and Jeanette Wagner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jon Wagner; brother, Maynard Wagner; and brother-in-law, Allan Bringe.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Curt S. Backhaus will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

Harverd WAGNER and Donna Marie CLAY were married on 4 October 1953 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁵⁰ Donna Marie CLAY, daughter of John Raymond "Johnny" CLAY and Ruby B. ROSCOVIUS, was born on 6 February 1934 in Monroe County, WI.^101,352 She died on 30 January 2022 at the age of 87 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁵² Obituary Notes: "Donna Wagner, 87, born on February 6, 1934, to John and Ruby (Roscovius) Clay passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022, at the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta. She was confirmed on March 21, 1948, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah and later united in marriage to Harverd Wagner on October 4,1953 at the same church.

She spent her married life on the Wagner family farm south of Tomah. She took great pride in her flower gardens and designing landscape features incorporating trees, bushes, and water. Outside of the home, she was a skilled bookkeeper, worked many years for Burnstad’s and in retirement owned the Victorian Lady gift store in Tomah.

Donna is survived by her daughters Linda Wagner (Ted Mitiu) of Lakewood, IL, Cindy (Dave) Engstrom, daughter-in-law Suzanne Swanson Wagner, grandchildren Kira (Erik) Netzke of Algonquin, IL, Michelle Engstrom (Ryan Christianson) of Minneapolis, Edric Wagner and Annaliese (Konner) Kearney of Madison, two great-grandchildren Colt and Ayla Netzke, sister Joyce Bringe, brother John (Joanie) Clay and sister-in-law Jeanette Wagner.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Harverd, their son, Jon Wagner, sister Grace Clay, brothers-in-law Allan Bringe and Maynard Wagner.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, 1:00 pm at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave, Tomah. Pastor Curtis Backhaus and Pastor Robert Gerke will officiate. Burial will be in the LaGrange Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
