Descendants of Johann Arendt Ludeking

Johann Arendt Ludeking and his wife, Margretha Agnesa Krumsicks, were born in the early-1700's in the Nordrhein-Westfalen of Prussia. One of their great-grandsons, August Ludeking, Sr., and his wife, Caroline Wynakim, were born in Lippe-Detmold, Prussia, in the 1820’s. They and their three sons emigrated to America in 1879, settling in the Wilton Township area of Monroe County.

The three sons married into families such as Baltz, Helmke, and Wendtland, and all of the Ludeking families in Monroe County descend from August and Caroline through their sons.
