Albert August WESTPHAL was born on 9 June 1886 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.^{13,17,19,24,59,79} (The Oak Grove Cemetery records and the Marriage Registration Index list his surname as "Westphal.") He was baptized on 4 July 1886 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was confirmed on 8 April 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷⁹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Albert appeared in the census in 1910 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ He appeared in the census in 1920 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." He appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.³² Albert died on 1 June 1956 at the age of 69.⁶³ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵⁹ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Albert August WESTPHAL and Lillie Auguste Paulina BIRR were married on 3 April 1907 in Monroe County, WI.^14,24,54 Lillie Auguste Paulina BIRR, daughter of Karl BIRR and Louise HENKE, was born on 16 September 1888 in Watertown, Jefferson County, WI.^23,54 (She was listed as "Lily" in the 1900 Census.) She appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²³ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ Lillie appeared in the census in 1920 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.³² She died on 8 March 1968 at the age of 79.^20,54,59 (Her obituary does not give her date of death, only her age at 79.)
