4. Hermann MARQUARDT was born in 1850 in Braunsberg, Naugard, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).⁴ He emigrated in June 1868 from Germany.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷

Hermann MARQUARDT and Adaline PERSONS were married on 23 April 1871.^3,4 at the residence of George Persons. Adaline PERSONS, daughter of (Unknown) PERSONS and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (PERSONS), was born in 1854 in New York.^4,7 (According to the 1880 Census, her father was born in Massachusetts and her mother in New York.) She appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷

Hermann MARQUARDT and Adaline PERSONS had the following children:

18	i.	Otis MARQUARDT was born in 1872 in Wisconsin.^4,7 He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷
19	ii.	Thomas MARQUARDT was born in 1875 in Wisconsin.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷
20	iii.	Ernest MARQUARDT was born in 1878 in Wisconsin.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷
21	iv.	Hanna MARQUARDT was born in February 1880 in Wisconsin.^4,7 She appeared in the census in June 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ She died after June 1880 at the age of 0.⁴ She died at the age of 3 months.
