She was confirmed on 10 April 1892 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹⁷ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lena appeared in the census in June 1900 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ She was living with her parents. She died on 8 August 1955 at the age of 78.¹⁵ She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹⁸ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Caroline Lisette Wilhelmine "Lena" BEHRENS and Johannes Claus "John" SCHUEMAN were married on 30 October 1900 in Monroe County, WI.^{14,15,21,23,119} Johannes Claus "John" SCHUEMAN, son of Heinrich SCHUEMAN and Dorothea UNKNOWN (SCHUEMAN), was born on 19 January 1877 in Schleswig-Holstein Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹⁵ He emigrated in 1884 from Schleswig-Holstein Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹⁵ He died on 29 August 1942 at the age of 65.¹⁵ John was a farmer and beekeeper in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹⁸ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
