Aleda Ann PETH and Gene Roger MOSELEY were married on 30 December 1960.215,333 Gene Roger MOSELEY, son of Glen MOSELEY and Marjorie I. RODEFER, was born on 23 August 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.87,284,336 He graduated in 1953 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.284,285 from Tomah High School. He died on 9 December 2015 at the age of 80 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.336

Obituary Notes: "Gene R. Moseley, 80, of Warrens passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Serenity House. He was born Aug. 23, 1935, to Glen and Marjorie (Rodefer) Moseley in Tomah.

He was raised in Coles Valley, living along the boundary of Camp McCoy. He often told stories of interacting with German prisoners of war, along the Camp McCoy fence. Gene was a member of the Tomah High School graduating class of 1953. He did a two year stint in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. In Dec., 1960, he eloped with Aleda Ann Peth, to Illinois, a loving union which lasted almost 55 years.

As a hard worker, Gene pursued a number of careers including Mathy and R. G. Rezin Construction, State of Wisconsin Regulatory Board, cranberry marsh manager, school bus driver, police officer, Moorman Feed salesman, Town of Lincoln Dump monitor, farmer and county board supervisor.

Gene is fondly remembered for his large personality, high energy level, great sense of humor and generous spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Aleda; two children, Grant (Peggy) and Sara; three grandchildren, Samuel, David (Meredith,) and Rebecca; a great-grandchild, Aleda Lynne-Kathryn; two brothers, Gary (Angie) Moseley and David (Sandy) Moseley; and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the Tomah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gundersen Health System and Serenity House staff for their kind and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to town of Lincoln Fire Department or the charity of donor’s choice.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Curt S. Backhaus will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Warren-Mills Cemetery."
