34. Roy Herman STORKEL was born on 22 October 1938 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.3,28,31,32,49 Roy was born at home on the family farm, which is now part of Fort McCoy. He died on 3 November 2011 at the age of 73 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.49

Obituary Notes: "Roy H. Storkel, 73, of Warrens, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at the Pine View Terrace Nursing Home in Black River Falls while under hospice care. He was born on Oct. 22, 1938, to Arnold and Norena (Pergande) Storkel at the home of his grandmother, Hulda Storkel, in Tomah. After graduation from Tomah High School in June of 1956, Roy moved to Milwaukee. He took an apprenticeship at Harnischfeger, which now is known as P&H. Roy also worked at a Mobil station on 40th Street and National Avenue. He was united in marriage to Susan McCutchan on Aug. 12, 1961, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. After his marriage he worked for Howie’s Towing for a couple of years. He then moved to Wyeville and went to work for R.G. Rezin Construction as a mechanic. Roy retired from Rezin in December of 2004 after 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, trap shoots, camping, traveling and family gatherings. He also enjoyed a beer at Smitty’s with his friends. Roy was all-in-all a very hard worker. He continued his career as a mechanic into his retirement. You could always find him in his garage or out in the woods. Roy was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, of 50 years; five children, Rick of Warrens, Victoria (Gregg) Hart of Camp Douglas, Michele Robinson of Florida, Ryan (Christine) Storkel of Tomah and Renae (Jim) Hannes of Wausau; 10 grandchildren, Jenna Gnewikow, Keven Stender, Jessica Fiorelli, Derek, Courtney and Samantha Storkel, Abby and Cole Hannes and Derek and Hunter Hart; two great-grandsons, Seth and Jayden; four brothers, Bruce, Keith (Mary), Lee (Monika) and Dale Storkel; four sisters, Jean (Tom) Peterson, Sue (Dave) Pfaff, Nancy Bushing and Katie Lamb; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Norena Storkel; a brother, Mark; a brother-in-law, Donald Bushing; and sisters-in-law, Esther Storkel and Nancy L. Schappe. He was further preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (today), Nov. 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tomah. Pastor William Rice will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery."

Roy Herman STORKEL and Susan Marie "Sue" MCCUTHEAN were married on 12 August 1961 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.15,31,32,45 Susan Marie "Sue" MCCUTHEAN, daughter of Harold MCCUTHEAN and Bernice EBERHARDT, was born on 26 March 1942 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.31 She graduated in 1960 in West Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.50 from West Milwaukee High School.
