31. Bruce Arnold STORKEL Sr. was born on 12 October 1933 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.3,28,31,45 Bruce was born in Hulda Storkel's (Gramdmother) house in Tomah, Wisconsin. He died on 6 February 2016 at the age of 82 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.46

Obituary Notes: "Bruce Storkel, 82, of Warrens died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Tomah Rehabilitation Center. He was born to Arnold and Norena (Pergande) Storkel on Oct. 12, 1933, in Tomah.

He was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 1951. After high school, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, after graduation he served an apprenticeship at Kearney Trecker Manufacturing as a machinist. Bruce worked for the Milwaukee Public Schools maintenance department for many years, and retired as the supervisor.

He was united in marriage to Nancy Shapy on Sept. 25, 1954. She preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 1961. He was united in marriage to Esther Harron on May 14. 1975. She preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 2010.

In 1993, he returned to the Warrens area. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. He had an easy going personality, and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Dan and Dean Storkel of Milwaukee; a daughter, Linda (Ric) Sorgel of Calif.; three grandchildren; his stepsons and stepdaughters; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Keith (Mary) of Waukesha, Lee (Monika) and Dale, both of Warrens, Jean (Tom) Petersen of Boulder City, Nev., Nancy Bushing of Tomah, Sue (Dave) Pfaff of Black River Falls, Kay Lamb of Merrill, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Sue Storkel of Warrens. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews; and other relatives; and friends.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce; a daughter, Barb Storkel; two brothers, Roy Storkel and Mark Storkel; and a brother-in-law, Don Bushing.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah, Wis. Pastor Phillip M. Enderle will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Garden.

Bruce Arnold STORKEL Sr. and Esther HARRON were married on 19 May 1975 in Waukegan, Lake County, IL.15,45 Esther HARRON was born on 17 April 1930 in Fertile, Polk County, MN.32,45 She died on 22 October 2010 at the age of 80 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.47

Obituary Notes: "Esther L. Storkel, 80, of Warrens, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 17, 1930, to William and Marie (Buran) Harron at Fertile, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was united in marriage to Bruce Storkel May 14, 1975 in Waukegan, IL. They resided in Milwaukee for over 40 years. Esther worked as a Home Health Aid for Milwaukee County Human Services. In 1993, Esther and Bruce retired and moved to the Warrens area. Esther had a kind and generous heart. She realized early that a good education was important to a child’s future and spent countless hours teaching and educating her own children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many others. She loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed every type of arts and crafts. She was a master at crocheting and had made a variety of different things for her family and friends. Together, Esther and Bruce would build and upholster furniture at their home. She was patient and giving, helping anyone who was in need. Family was most important to her and she dedicated her life to each and everyone of them. She is survived by her husband, Bruce, two sons, Robert Paradise and Dwain Paradise of Warrens, three daughters, Vickie (John) Buick of Tomah, Delilah (Pat) Dalrymple of Milwaukee, Diana (Myron) Copus of Milwaukee, two step-sons, Dan Storkel and Dean Storkel of Milwaukee, two step-daughters, Linda (Rick) Sorgel of CA and Barb Storkel of Milwaukee , a daughter-in-law Diane Gutheridge of Baldwin, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a special niece Sandra Derks of Cumberland, several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Patricia Gritzmacher, a son David Gutheridge and 13 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010, 11:00 a.m.. at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Kirby. Pastor Phillip M. Enderle will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Tomah. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service."

She was buried on 3 November 1961 in Escanaba, Delta County, MI.28
