Descendants of Johann, Niebuhr, Sr.

Johann "John" Niebuhr was born in Hannover in the Lower Saxony Province of Prussia in 1821. After emigrating to America, he and his wife, Mabel, had four children.

After his first wife died, he married Sophia Bence and they had six children, who married into families such as Smith, Lobe and Noble.
All of the Niebuhr families in Monroe County are descendants of Johann.
