71. Janet Leona "Jenny" VINCENZ was born on 4 August 1918 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.36,97,207,228 in Reels Valley. (The birth registration lists her name as "Jennet Leona," the church baptismal records list it as "Geueth Leona.") She was baptized on 30 August 1918.207 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.24 Jenny appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.34 She died on 26 October 2013 at the age of 95 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.228 Obituary Notes: "Janet Leona Zellmer, 95, of Tomah passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at the Tomah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1918, to George and Matie (Kewit) Vincenz in the township of Adrian, Wis. She was baptized into the Christian faith and confirmed on May 14, 1933, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Ridgeville.

On Nov. 15, 1939, Janet was united in marriage to Milo Zellmer in Waukon, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1978. Together, Janet and Milo farmed in the township of Adrian and later moved to town.

She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, serving as a member of the Lydia Ladies Circle. Although Janet enjoyed traveling to different places throughout the country, opening her home to friends and family and taking care of others was her greatest joy. She had a generous heart and was always willing to offer a helping hand to others.

She is survived by her children, Lu Ann Jeffers, Gerald (Karen) Zellmer, and Sue Zellmer all of Tomah; four grandchildren, Pamlia (Wayne) Butterfield of Sparta, Lesa (Darrel) Pierce, Jeff (Tammie) Zellmer and Jamie Zellmer all of Tomah; six great-grandchildren, Jana, Amy, Meri, Tiffany, Derek and Tyler; four great-great-grandchildren, Abigayle, Austen, Lincoln and Clara; two sisters-in-law, Alpha Jean Gaede of Tomah, and Louise Ann Luedtke of Chippewa Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milo; sisters and brother, Lucille Price, Ethelyn (Essie) Pagliaroni, Eunice Beltz, Alice Witz, and an infant brother, Vilas.

A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor David T. Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery."

Janet Leona "Jenny" VINCENZ and Milo Paul ZELLMER were married on 15 November 1938 in Waukon, Allamakee County, IA.25,36 Milo Paul ZELLMER, son of Heinrich Emil ZELLMER and Anna FETKENHAUER, was born on 2 January 1917 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.1,25,97 (His obituary lists his birth year as 1918.) He appeared in the census in 1920 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.24 He died on 22 March 1978 at the age of 61 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.25 Obituary Notes: "Milo P. Zellmer, 80, Tomah, died Wed., Mar. 22, in Tomah Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart attack. He was born in Monroe County on Jan. 2, 1918, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zellmer. He married Janet Vincenz on Nov. 15, 1938.

At the time of his death, he worked in the engineering department at Fort McCoy. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Gerald, of Tomah; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (LuAnn) Lovik of Tomah and Sue, at home; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Alfred and Milton of Tomah, and Raymond of Nekoosa; and seven sisters, Mrs. Helen Stoltz, Mrs. Harry (Ruby) Isensee, Mrs. Norman (Alpha Jean) Gaede and Mrs. George (Irene) Schmieder, all of Tomah, Mrs. Roy (Louise) Ludtke of Bloomer, Mrs. Edward (Anita) Gruen of Wilton and Mrs. Vern (Dorothy) Hammon of Cataract.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Fri., Mar. 24 in the Ninneman Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Wolcott officiating. Burial was in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Tomah." Milo was buried on 24 March 1978 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.25,81,168 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
