Griggs who is mentioned on the Vermont Historical Society Library web page--a daughter of Stephen Griggs and Rhoda Bacon Smith. That Lucinda B.'s birth date is listed as 8/27/1809 and her date of death as 3/27/1892. The website also refers to a Lucinda Griggs Howe, who was Stephen's daughter.

This Lucinda's dates of birth and death (1808-1876) are from a gravestone in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah, WI, and her obituary. The tombstone is northwest of the Lucius S. Griggs lot--a likely relative.

Her birthplace is listed in her son John's Census records as: 1880: New York; 1900: New Hampshire; and 1910: Rhode Island. It is believed to have been New York, because she was there in the 1810 Census.) Her and her husband's cemetery spaces were was purchased on 21 Oct 1876 by "B. Ferrell"--probably her husband, Bill. The entire plot that contained the gravesites for her and her husband (OP, 3, 21) was purchased by J. J. Kibbe (possible relationship unknown).

(It is believed that Lucinda was related to the family of Lucius S. Griggs, whose plot is nearby.)

(According to the 1880 Census, his father was born in New York and his mother in Pennsylvania.) He appeared in the census in 1830 in Sidney, Delaware County, NY.274 Page 1 of the Sidney Census includes the listing of "William Ferrie," age 20-30, and a female, age 20-30. That is believed to have been him and his wife, Lucinda Griggs.

There are no Griggs families listed in the Census for Sidney, so it is not known where her parents may have lived.
