49. Wade Z. ARITY-GOFF was born on 13 January 1891 in Kirby, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.^{17,38,42,44,48,49} Wade was the son of Charles David Arity and his wife, Christina. His mother died a few weeks after he was born, and he was taken by Charles' first cousin, Mary Frances Lamb, and her husband, Wilna Goff, who raised him. Wade later changed his surname to Goff. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ (He was living with Wilmer and Mary Goff, and was listed as "adopted.") He appeared in the census in 1910 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ He was listed as the "adopted son" of Wilna and Mary Frances Goff. Wade appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴² He died on 30 May 1971 at the age of 80.⁴⁸ He was buried in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ in the LaGrange Township Cemetery.

Wade Z. ARITY-GOFF and Hazel Mae SHUTTER were married in 1917.^42,48 Hazel Mae SHUTTER, daughter of John R. SHUTTER and Adella C. LAMB, was born on 25 September 1899 in Wisconsin.^14,18,42,98 She was not listed with her parents in the 1920 Census, so she may have been married. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ She appeared in the census in 1910 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ Hazel appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴² She died on 16 January 1977 at the age of 77.^48,98
