Descendants of Sir Matthew Gough

Sir Matthew Gough, Knight, was born in the late-1300's in Wales. One of his descendants, Stephen D., moved from Massachusetts to Wisconsin more than 400 years later..

He remained in Racine County, but three of his sons--Stephen, Jr., Spencer, and Ezra--moved westward and settled in the Adrian, Greenfield, La Grange and Lincoln Township areas of Monroe County.
