(David Hauer's research indicates that he emigrated from Hamburg on the ship Copernicus.) He appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ He and his wife were living with their son Fred. Christian died on 25 August 1873 at the age of 84 in Monroe County, WI.^1,3,4,5 He was buried on 27 August 1873 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,4,9 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She emigrated on 16 September 1856 from Germany.⁶ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ Dorothea died on 30 April 1871 at the age of 79.^3,4,6 She was buried on 3 May 1871 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,4,9 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
