2 | i. |  Friedrich "Frederick" KUCKUCK was born about 1834 in Hanover, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Province, Preussen (Prussia).2 (It is not certain whether Frederick was a son in this family, but it is very possible that Frederick was a brother of Charles L. "Carl" Kuckuck. Carl was born in Dec 1837, so the ages of Carl and Frederick would fit as brothers. The names of their parents are unknown. However, their father may have been Frederick Kuckuck, b. 12 Feb 1812 in Hanover, Germany and an unknown first wife. Frederick married Wilhelmine Peifer in Germany when he was 35, possibly his second marriage.) . He appeared in the census in 1860 in Germantown Township, Juneau County, WI.3 He was living in the household of George and Johannah (Garrens) Kuckuck and was listed as age 26, occupation "Farmer," birth place Hanover. Frederick's relationship to George is not known, but it is possible that Frederick's father was George's older brother Frederick from a first marriage. |
