Descendants of August Friedrich "Frederick" Kuhn

August Friedrich "Frederick" Kuhn and his wife Amelia Hammon emigrated to America from Prussia in1887 with six children. (A daughter had died in Germany.) Four more children were born after they arrived in Monroe County.

Their children eventually "Americanized" their surnames--most to "Keene" and one to "Keen."

The children married into Tomah-area families such as Batzen, Benson, Bucholz, Iggulden, Roscovius and Sherburn.
