She died in 1852 at the age of 30 in Szamocin, Kreis Kolmar, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^9,10 (She may have died at the birth of her son Ernst.)

Wilhelmine KUTHLOW and Michael SCHMALZ were married on 18 April 1843.⁸ Michael SCHMALZ, son of (Unknown) SCHMALZ and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (SCHMALZ), was born on 5 September 1814 in Rybowo, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^10,11,12,13 About 1835 he was a "Shepherd".¹³ He emigrated on 5 April 1882 from Sypniewo, Kreis Kolmar, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^14,15,16 Michael died on 11 July 1888 at the age of 73 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^10,11,12 He was buried on 12 July 1888 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^11,12,17,18 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
