Descendants of Johann Conrad Lobe, Sr.

Johann Conrad “John” Lobe, Sr., and his wife, Maria “Mary” Siegel, were born in Darmstadt, Hesse, in the 1820’s. They emigrated to America in the 1840’s and lived in Pennsylvania, where their four children were born.

John died shortly thereafter, and Mary married Michael Felker in 1863. They then had two children in Clifton Township.
Mary’s six children married into families such as Mueller, Swalm, Fisher, Anderlie, Jirschele and Habelman.
All of the original Lobe families in Monroe County descended from John and Mary.
