"William" NEITZEL Sr. was born on 5 February 1847 in Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^2,6,15 He emigrated in 1883 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ Their household consisted of Wilhelm, his wife "Louisa" (spelling not clear), their son William, and a step-son Albert Schnell, born Oct 1885. William appeared in the census in 1910 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He died in 1930 at the age of 83 in Wisconsin.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ William was buried in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.^4,17 in the South Ridge Lutheran Cemetery.

Wilhelm F. "William" NEITZEL Sr. and Wilhelmina Louisa "Louise" FISCHER were married about 1873 in Preussen (Prussia).^5,6 (According to the 1910 Census, this marriage is listed as the second for both of them. The 1900 and 1910 Census' both indicate that they had 7 children, of whom 5 were still living.)

(The Monroe County Marriage Registration Index contains a record of the marriage of an Emelia D. Neitzel and Gifford Waters on 28 Sep 1898 in Tomah, WI. Emelia's parents were Wilhelm Neitzel and Louise "Snell." This was almost certainly their daughter because the 1900 Census contains a listing for a William's step-son, Albert Schnell.)

Wilhelmina Louisa "Louise" FISCHER⁹ was born in December 1846 in Preussen (Prussia).⁵ She emigrated in 1883 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ Her given name is believed to have been Wilhelmine. But she was listed in the 1900 Census as what appears to be "Lausu" or "Louisa;" the handwriting is not clear. The 1910 Census listed her as "Louise." Louise appeared in the census in 1910 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ She died in 1923 at the age of 77.⁹ She was buried in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ in the St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
